Founded in 1974, the University United Methodist Child Development Center has grown within the community and congregation to be one of the most well-respected and progressive early childhood programs in Las Vegas. As a mission of the church, this program currently serves approximately 60 families. Our children range from infants to kindergarteners, and represent a wide variety of ethnic, racial, linguistic, and religious backgrounds. Our center utilizes developmentally appropriate practices established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This developmental philosophy allows children to learn naturally through their play. Our purpose is to provide a safe, nurturing environment with a carefully planned program that fosters the physical, cognitive, and emotional development of young minds.
