Wedding Information

At University United Methodist Church, the wedding ceremony is a service of worship in which two people are united in the covenant of marriage before God and their families and friends. Those present are understood to be an active congregation rather than passive spectators and, by their presence, give their blessing to the couple and the marriage. The service reflects the belief that husband and wife are equal partners in Christian marriage and are entering freely into this relationship. We will help you understand the service and shape it with sensitivity to who you are and the sacredness and importance of the occasion.

Wedding fees for members of University UMC

Wedding Fees for Sanctuary

Cost is $500 for church members with advanced deposit of $100 when booking. This covers the cost of the facility, wedding hostess, organist, and custodian. Deposit is non-refundable if wedding is cancelled less than 30 days prior to wedding.

Wedding Fees for Worship Center

Cost is $600 for church members with advanced deposit of $100 when booking. This covers the cost of the facility, wedding hostess, organist, and custodian. Deposit is non-refundable if wedding is cancelled less than 30 days prior to wedding.

Reception fees for members of University UMC

If you choose to have your reception on church property, there are additional charges and arrangements that need to be made. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on church property.

Reception in Fellowship Hall

Minimum of $20 and $9 an hour after the first 2 hours. Room set up is $30. Custodian will be required throughout the reception at $25 per hour.

Reception in Worship Center

Minimum of $80 and $40 an hour after the first 2 hours. Room set up is $45. Custodian will be required throughout the reception at $25 per hour.

Minimum of $120 and $60 an hour after the first 2 hours. Set up is $60. Custodian will be required throughout the reception at $35 per hour. Advanced deposit of $100 when booking. Deposit is non-refundable if reception is cancelled in less than 10 days prior to wedding.
